Ramblings of a young guy

Something that has always irritated me about people is that some want to be so hateful and negative. They want to attack the LGBT community and deny the LGBT community rights and equality and everything because of how they were brought up.

I was never brought up to hate or brought up to discriminate against others. For me being black and gay is like the double standard for hate and everything that is associated with that word. I never got to experience the full on treatment of racism but it is something that still exists and is something that really needs to cease to exist.

Come on people... it's not 1970, 1945, or 1836. It's time to move into the present day. So what in the bible it says "man should not lay with mankind as it does with woman kind", it does not say it is a sin or that got hates fags. What is in the bible is to be interpreted in YOUR own view of it..

For the record, not that i have read the entire bible but there is not one mention of the words: hate, fag, queer, n***er, and all of the other hateful racist words that Americans use to be derrogatory and disrespect other people in the world.
In Section 1 of the constituion is reads: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

In other words, the words "We The People...." in the constitution means EVERYBODY... including gays, lesbians, and the LGBT community. I know that I can't change that or change people to accept me for being who I am, but we as Americans need to learn the meaning of equality. All that the LGBT community want is to be equal in this country.

But then you have people like Fred Phelps, News Journalist Brian Brown of the National Organization for Marriage who are filled with such hate that it makes me sick... People like that were brought up to hate and discriminate and nobody needs to follow people like that, that know nothing but to be negative to others.

For me I applaud people like Harvey Milk and Judge Vaughn Walker who are and have been fighting for gays and fighting H8/Prop 8. It's people like them who are true Americans and children of God.... 

Simply put God loves us just as we are... WE are all his children.

This Week In Gay History

Judge Vaughn R. Walker
This week in gay history Judge Walker, who is an openly gay judge overturned the ban on Prop 8 in California... This will entitle those of the LGBT community to be legally married again. I think this is wonderful news to hear... It's people like him and Harvey Milk that have fought and are fighting for Gay Rights and equality within the LGBT community.


It's even in the constitution that everybody should be equal and have their rights and what not... as stated... "No State Shall....deny to any person within it's jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

But that is not so true within the 45 states that ban or deny members like myself equal rights as a gay man... Come on America it's 2010, not 1960. It's time to move into the future and let go of this hate... not just towards the LGBT community but towards all people...

The other news of the week is that Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger finally had a change of heart in a choice of words and is saying that Gays and lesbians SHOULD be allowed to marry... This is could news to hear... but in my opinion it dosen't excuse the fact that he allowed the ban to go in effect 2 years ago... BAD MOVE Mr. TERMINATOR!!!!
