In my life, I wear many names... some good... some bad. I live my life the way I want to live it. I am part of communities, not just locally, but afar and globally connected. Some names I go by are Quinton, boy quinton, Mr. USB, DJ Stone Cold, or goldbergfan... One name I do not go by is Q... I don't like being referred to as Q nor do I ask anyone to call me Q... If you want to know what to refer to me as or what name to use ask... and if anything call me Quinton. As I live my life as a gay man, I live the life in the Leather community (hence me saying earlier saying my name is boy qunton) as well as in the Bear community. I do understand there is a time and place for everything. With that being said, I am who I am and I am not typical gay man that you see on t.v. or movies or in the media as we are percieved. I am in no way flashy, flamboyant, lady like (Queeny), nor do I act feminine.
Being a collared boy within the leather community, I have been asked many questions and have had things assumed to me. No, the person that administered the collar around my neck is not my master, My SIR/Dominant yes. Are you allowed to touch/grab, reach for my collar? No... You may be look but DO NOT Touch My Collar Period. Doing that disrespects my SIR as well as disrespects the bond between my SIR, family and I. The leather community is not just about people dressing up in leather clothing or riding motorcycles, the leather community is NOT about a bunch of men (or women) meeing up to "hide the snake" (or any other word choice for sex). The leather community is about brotherhood, loyalty, & respect as well as other things. But when it comes down to it all, each of us within this community treat each other how we want to be treated and are there for one another and most of all, it's what's in YOUR heart.
As I stated i the beginning I am who I am. I am a man first and I know when to turn on and off what some call the "Straight Persona", but in all reality I don't care what someone thinks about me meaning I don't care if someone calls me negative names or calls me names to try to bring me down, because i really don't let it bother me. I don't have the time in the day to worry about someone calling me 4 eyes, or Urkel, or Chris Rock... Let's get this straight once and for all, calling me something other than what I answer to is more or less a form of bullying. I don't look like anyone that is portrayed on tv... if i did, god would have made me that way.
Being gay is not just a part of me. I didn't turn gay or decided to be gay. I was born this way, nobody and I mean nobody has a gay sickeness or turns gay even though people like Fred Phelps and haters and anti-gay homophobes may think otherwise.
In a nutshell, I am me and I live my life the way I want to live it. I'm a down to earth guy who treats everyone with respect and treats people the way i'd like to be treated... it's how I was raised (Thanks Mom, Dad & all that have inspired me in my life). I love who I am and love this journey called life!
Till next time....

As a Delaware resident, I am happy to hear this news. My hat goes off to Gov. Jack Markell for approving this and signing it into action. It's about time really for change toward the best and toward equality. When this is signed, it will make Delaware the 8th state to allow same sex civil unions or domestic partnerships. To quote the article I seen on this, "With Markell's signature, the bill will take effect Jan. 1. The legislation gives gay couples the same rights and obligations of those who are married. But it makes clear that marriage is between a man and a woman. Five other states and the District of Columbia allow gay marriage.
"I think it's time for this bill to be passed, and it's going to be good for so many Delawareans for years to come," said Markell, a Democrat. "I'm really pleased with it."
Supporters say the measure provides equal rights for homosexuals in committed relationships.
"We were all created with special, unique, beautiful differences," said chief House sponsor Rep. Melanie George, D-Bear. "Our government respects those differences."
But this won't go into effect until Jan. 1... and with this comes the haters and the anti-gay groups and people who are going to do what they do best... Hate on us!! To quote Philadelphia native and poet:
In reality i'm gonna be who i be
I'm gon be who I be
And I don't feel no faults
For all the lies that you bought
You can try as you may
Break me down when I say
That it ain't up to you
Gon on do what you do
Hate on me hater
Now or Later
Cause I'm gonna do me
You'll be made baby
(Go head and hate)
Go head and hate on me hater
I'm not afraid of
What I got I paid for
You can hate on me...
Bottom line... i'm happy for this change that Delaware is making. It's a step in the right direction of Equality.

The journey thus far of boy quinton
boy quinton May 2011 |
from L to R: Sir John, Mama Reinhardt, boy john & boy quinton @ CLAW 10 |
My brother boy john and I |
As I look ahead to the future as a leatherboy, My focus is on SIR and doing all I have to do to earn SIRs training collar as well as SIRs permanent collar when and if I make it that far (i'm not discounting myself saying that, i'm just saying i'm ready and willing to learn and be the best that i can be). In the words of SIR "Remember boy, Clean hands!" SIR, Yes SIR. I have accepted and processed the events of the last 5 months and am ready for the future. boy quinton is ready.
From L to R: Sir John, Ms. Lisa, Mister J, boy john, andy, me, boy spike, Pup Tripp & boy scott. |
Another thing I will add is that when it comes to the more "adventurous" side of things, I'm learning things about me that I didn't know (or didn't think) i would like. So for me being a newbie to certain things, I should just try it and see if i like it, if not then I will know for sure that it's something I will or won't do.
My brother boy john and I |
In love, leather, service, and brotherhood.

CLAW X (Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend 10)
As I return back home and sit and think of the long vacation I had that was spent in Baltimore and in Cleveland at C.L.A.W., I sit and think about the wonderful time I had. It was good to be amongst people that are just like me and be in a place where i'm not judged or what not for being who i am as a leather boy. Aside from that I had a great learning experience at CLAW and being around my leather family and community. To quote one of my brothers' in leather, boy dustin, "i came back with my soul and spirit uplift, with a new found sense of confidence and a deep sense of love, strength and belonging to my family and community." I specially thank my SIR, SIR John, my brothers boy john, boy dustin & boy darren, Ms. Lisa & boy spike, as well as Andy (Mid-Atlantic Leather boy), Pup Tripp, Mister J, boy scott, Daddy Rich & Alex, Master John, Jeffrey Payne, Mama Reinhardt, Daddy Tim & Scruffy, and everyone I met at CLAW. I will add that I have never been around this many leather men and women in my life... but in all it was a great trip and experience.
I had a wonderful time and look forward to next year's CLAW. And as i'm typing this up i'm tearing up again.
Much love, hugs and respect to Y/you all... I love you
In love, leather, service and brotherhood.

I am boy quinton and this who i am
Original post date January 2, 2011 on my facebook profile
From the beginning it started with a dream or maybe a fantasy...
In the pre-stages of learning who I am, I've had a few
pleasureable experiences, had some not so pleasant experinces,
and seen some ways of play that intrigued me as well as
some that have intimidated me.
From learning the ropes of this lifestyle, I have seen the good,
some of the bad and have managed to experience the part-timers
and game players of this way of life. They don't understand
this lifestyle the way that I understand this lifestyle.
For me I don't just see this as someone who dresses up, someone
who says they're part of this community because of the "fun" part
of this lifestyle. For me I see this community as a lifestyle in
a whole. In my soul I know who I am, in my heart it says to follow
this journey of who you really are, and my mind says it is ready
to adapt to this lifestyle of who I really am.
My journey will not be a walk in the park....
It will take lots of hard work, as wel as discipline,
trust, courage determination and obedience.
As I move forwad to this lifestyle, I look forward to
learning the history of this community, look forward to
becoming a better person. I have goals of exploring my
limits as well as learning the protocols and understanding
that a Dominants needs come before my own and lastly,
I look forward to serving a SIR as boy quinton.
I am boy quinton. I am a leatherboy.... and I am part of
a community and lifestyle that is about brotherhood,
loyalty, respect and family.

Embracing My Inner leatherboy As boy quinton
Embracing the leather lifestyle has been a great experience for me so far. So many events, competitions to experience, and lots of wonderful people to meet. For the past couple of months, I've been a busy boy reading about the history of the leather community and all that comes with the lifestyle. There are so many new opportunities throughout the United States, and the World to become a part of. Lately, I've thought about joining DC Boys of Leather (Local Chapter) or any other local leather group. It is the most amazing to find people who are like minded. The most important thing is that I've been discovering the inner leather boy that I am, and who I am proud to be called "boy quinton".
Recently, I have found through facebook an amazing bunch of mentors, boys, Sirs/Dominants and also found two amazing boy's who I enjoy talking with. To be honest, we're best friends and more like brothers! I do respect the SIRs, boys, and I honor and cherish the friendship they've shown me. The quest to find my SIR will be a great, and journey for myself. Upon starting this journey of discovering who "boy quinton" is, boy has dealt with many things in his life (just like everyone else); but upon entering into the leather community boy has seen a new change in boy's life. With the mentoring from SIR and boy's peers, and making new friendships and relationships is far the best journey that boy has been experiencing, and boy want's too thank every one of you (YOU know who YOU are!).
So, what's new? Well, boy quinton has discovered his hanky colors & meanings - (listed below):
Red - Fisting
Navy Blue - Likes to be "catcher"
Fuschia - Spanking
Hunter Green - Likes older guys
Medium Blue - Uniform Fetish
Grey -Bondage
Black - SM
Yes, boy quinton has a lot but this is who boy is and am proud of who he is discovering himself to be. Also boy quinton is big on protocols and respect and all that comes with being in service to a SIR. As an uncollared boy, I treat people the way that I would want to be treated. This boy is a fast learner that picks up on what to do and what not to do quickly.

The chalk guy is back!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to my friend Lee for sending me this one :)
I'd love to see one of these paintings. it's so difficult to convince my brain that these pictures are on a flat surface!
Great Crevase Edgar Mueller.
Hard work: Together with up to five assistants, Mueller painted all day long from sunrise to sunset.
The picture appeared on the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland as part of the town's Festival of World Cultures.

The picture appeared on the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland as part of the town's Festival of World Cultures.
He spent five days, working 12 hours a day, to create the 250 square meter image of the crevasse, which, viewed from
the correct angle, appears to be 3D. He then persuaded passers-by to complete the illusion by pretending the gaping hole
was real. “I wanted to play with positives and negatives to encourage people to think twice about everything they see,' he said.
'It was a very scary scene, but when people saw it they had great fun playing on it and pretending to fall into the earth.
I like to think that later, when they returned home, they might reflect more on what a frightening scenario it was and say,
Wow, that was actually pretty scary."

I'm Back
2011 Is here and I survived another year... I had some good times like spending more time with my partner Scott, spent time learning more American Sign Language as well as getting out and visiting the leather community and Baltimore along with getting to know my brothers and sisters of the leather community. Also during the year I got to meet a few stars of a more adult nature in Rusty McMann & Anthony DeAngelo & Cameron Cruise.
But of course there had to be some bad times of 2010... Lost a few friends and 2 weeks before christmas my partner of 15 months was taken from me and went home to the lord.
Below are two poems I wrote on losing Scott, how much I miss him and how much I loved him:
"One In A Million"
From the day you came into my life I knew that you were someone special.
You were a true genuine person and onethat could always put a smile on my face
when I was down or when we were just being silly.
I cherish the time we spent together
and will always remember the true love you showed me.
I will never forget the places we went, or the things you taught me.
I never knew real love until the day that we met and connected as one.
Even through rough times during our time together,
as well as the struggles you went thru as well as the struggles I went through.
We were always there for each other.
Now that you are gone, a part of my life has been taken away.
True love a gentle caring guy that was a son, a brother, a cousin,
an uncle and as a partner has gone home to the heavens above.
I know now you are at peace, out of the pain, and resting peacefully
with mom and sister Shelby. I am happy to have known you and to have been a part of your life. I am grateful to you for making you the happiest man in the world as well as being proud of me.
From your friends to those closest to you, to your parents, sister and other aquaintences...
You were One In A Million.
You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Your Family, Your Friends and your Partner Quinton
I love you, We love you and you will be missed dearly.
"Think Of You"
As I sit and reminince, I think of you...
I think of the time we spent together,
I think of the good and bad times together.
I laugh when I think about those times when
we were being silly and I tear up when I think
about those time when we were apart.
Missing you is as much as I do, is like hurting
more than anything I can think of. Not seeing you
face to face or hearing your voice or hearing your
sweet laughter is taking it's toll on me physically
and mentally.
But I will always cherish the memories we had and keep
them locked away in my heart. I just wish i could see you
again... if even for a minute or an hour or a day...
Just to see a phone call from you or a message in my email
would bring a smile to my face.
I don't know any other way to say I love you... Deep down
inside I know you "loved me lots" as you would say... then
I'd reply "I love you dearly".
Without you I sometimes feel like a nervous reck... but with
having the support of all of our friends keeps your memory alive
as you will never be forgotten and that you always have a special
place in their hearts.
Hey Mr. Wilson... You'll always be in my heart and I'll never forget you.
But through the ruff time of the loss of Scott... I did make the best of if... I got to spend christmas day with my dad, my step-mom and my stepsister.
A few days after Scott's burial.. they was a memorial held in his honor at The Baltimore Eagle in Remembrance of Scott Willard Wilson. I was surrounded by good friends... correction... I was surrounded by my extended family that showed me a lot of love and support thru the holiday season of 2010.
Plus I can't forget about New Years being spent with SIR John & Boy John... Amongst all of the people that have been there for me through the difficult holiday season I had... I was embraced by the leather community of Baltimore. My thanks to EVERYONE for being a friend to Scott and to myself and to those that were able to be there to pay your respects to Scott. It is much appreciated by all Scott's family (which includes me and his closest friends) and friends.
So on to 2011... I hope 2011 brings me lots of happiness and comfort knowing that I have my family, my friends and my extended family... who will be there for me. Scott may be gone but he is not forgotten. His memory will live on inside me forever.
Until next time....
Yours respectfully
Quinton Smart-Wilson
